The 5d geometric Langlands twist

In this talk I will present a twisted version of maximally supersymmetric five dimensional super Yang-Mills theory which share some aspects of the construction introduced by Kapustin and Witten in their study of Geometric Langlands correspondence from four dimensions. The theory enjoys electric-magnetic duality which constrains the spectrum of allowed observables, in particular I will discuss the central role played by monopole defects in this context. Finally, I will discuss a string theory realization of the problem which highlight an unusual connection with open topological string.
