Mathematical Cryptography


Mathematics of cryptography and some applications. Topics include finite fields, discrete logarithms, integer factorization and RSA, elliptic curve cryptography, hash functions, digital signatures, DES and AES. Open to students who have taken MATH 304. Prerequisites: Math 221 or 218 or 216, COMPSCI 101L or equivalent. Math 401 or 501 would be useful. Instructor: Staff
