Monopoles, Instantons, and Spectral Zeta Functions

The study of the moduli spaces of monopoles on R^3 and instantons on ALF gravitational instantons requires fine information about the asymptotic structure of the instanton connections. In this talk, reporting on joint work with Sergey Cherkis, I will discuss the recent proof that at large distances these instantons decompose into a sum of U(1) instantons.
