"I went on to get a MS in statistics from American University and a PhD in Economics from Cornell University. I wanted a career where I use my analytic and statistical knowledge to bring in more fairness in this world. I currently work in the workforce strategy and analytics group at Mercer where I help companies provide equal pay and help company better understand their workflows and identify any possible glass ceilings or bottlenecks for women and people of color to higher ranking roles. I do strategic workforce planning, I look at ways to improve executive leadership, I have done studies to improve performance review processes and have put together an integrated HR systems database for advanced analytics purposes."
"A Math degree allows so much flexibility. Every industry has an analytics department. You can work in manufacturing, tech, food services, consulting. You can change careers because the fundamentals of doing analytics doesn’t change."
