Introduction to Mathematical Logic

MATH 487

An introduction to mathematical logic focusing on first-order logic and the relationship between truth and provability. Topics include Peano arithmetic, Gödel's completeness and incompleteness theorems, and some elementary model theory. Recommended prerequisite: Mathematics 216, 218, or 221.
