Public Lecture by Po-Shen Loh

Professor Po-Shen Loh is known as a professor of mathematics in Carnegie Mellon University and the coach of the national IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad) team for the past 10 years. At the same time, he explores the use of mathematics from many different angles to help with communal and societal development. Dr. Loh founded Expii, a social enterprise that improves lives through education and healthcare, which began as an innovative learning platform where students have the power to choose how they learn. Dr. Loh will talk about his experience using his mathematical background to invent and implement new solutions to the large-scale real-world problem of education, which are powered by game-theoretic incentive alignment.
